Rules for using Cryptoreporter bikes
Effective from: February 2025
What are these terms about?
We've been operating on Łódź streets since 2018. This is our city and we want riding in it to be simple and fast. When you take our purple bike from one of the 47 stations, you enter into a contract with us. It's a set of clear rules that allow us to keep the gear in good condition for every user. You won't find any fine print here. If you have a Łódź Migawka or a standard payment card, you can hit the road without unnecessary formalities. Remember that by using the Cryptoreporter system, you accept what we've written here. We do this so everyone knows where they stand and what their duties are. Our base is at ul. Piotrkowska 102, so in case of any questions, you know where to find us. We are a small local company, employing 7 people and we really care about your comfort.
Rental, prices, and your Migawka
Our station system works 24/7 every day of the year. You can choose a subscription for 49 PLN monthly or pay for every minute of riding. In the subscription plan, the first 30 minutes of every ride are for 0 PLN. This is the best option if you daily skip traffic on the W-Z route or around Manufaktura. Payment happens automatically from your payment card or linked Migawka. We don't charge any deposits at the start because honestly, we don't like it when someone freezes our cash. Registration at the terminal usually takes about 14 seconds. Just remember to always correctly plug the bike into the rack after finishing the route. You'll then hear the characteristic lock sound. If the system doesn't confirm the return, the meter will keep running, so it's worth a look when returning the gear.
How to care for our purple bikes?
Our team of 7 mechanics checks the technical state of the fleet every 48 hours. We want brakes, gears, and chains to always work perfectly. Before you head out from a station, however, check quickly if the tires have air and if the saddle is tightly fastened. If you notice any fault, just press the service button on the terminal. Then take the neighboring bike, and that damaged one will be locked for our service. We ask that you don't carry other people or very heavy goods on the bike. The front basket is intended for a backpack or small shopping, not for building materials. If a bike is lost or destroyed through your fault, we will have to ask you to cover repair costs. It's a fair deal because we care for these bikes for all Łódź residents.
Safety on Łódź roads
Riding a bike is freedom but also great responsibility. Use the bike paths, of which we have more and more in the center. On Piotrkowska, watch out for pedestrians, especially on weekend evenings. Our bikes have strong lights that turn on automatically as soon as it gets dark. Remember you must not ride a bike after alcohol – it's dangerous for you and others. We are responsible for the bike being technically functional, but you decide how you steer it. If a collision occurs, you must immediately report it to us and possibly call the police. We do not take responsibility for injuries or damages arising from your fault during the ride. Take care of yourself on the road, because we want to see you at Cryptoreporter stations for every subsequent trip to the office or a meeting.
Changes to rules and quick contact
Sometimes we must change something in these rules, for example, when we set up new stations (we have 47 now). We will always send you info about it by email with appropriate notice. If you don't agree to the new terms, you can close your account at any time without any extra fees or penalties. We try to solve all problems humanely and without unnecessary nerves. If something went wrong at the terminal, write directly to Marek at [email protected]. We usually reply within 3 business hours. We don't like bureaucracy, so we'll handle the matter concretely. If we really couldn't come to an agreement, any disputes will be resolved by the court appropriate for our seat in Łódź. We've operated here since 2018 and believe a clear regulation is the foundation of trust between us and users.
